4-day, hands on intensive training for young adults wanting to develop business management skills in agriculture.

BBQ reception the evening of June 11th

Course begins 8 AM June 12th and concludes at noon on the 15th

Program is delivered in partnership with Rock Springs Ranch (Frank Berlogar), Wally Olson, Ranch Right, Noble Research Institute and Chase Brothers Realty

Limited to 54 participants

Accommodation will be camping on the ranch. Campers/trailers are allowed or tent camping. There is also an indoor arena for sleeping bags/bed rolls. Showers and restrooms are available. Meals will be provided by a caterer on ranch.

$750 per participant includes meals and primitive accommodation

    1-9 PM – Rock Springs Ranch Tour, dinner on ranch hosted by Rock Springs Ranch

    Tuesday June 13th: 8 AM to Noon:

    • Application of Economic Theory
    • Case Study of Example Ranches
    • Understanding what the numbers mean

    Tuesday Afternoon – Padlock Ranch Tour – Leadership of people

    Wednesday June 14th: 8 AM to Noon:

    • Why Grazing Management Matters
    • Soil then Plants, then Animals

    Wednesday Afternoon – Bauer Ranch Tour – Getting started from scratch, sheep and irrigated pasture grazing

    Wednesday Evening – Celebration Dinner with entertainment by Tris Munsick

    Thursday June 15th: Morning (Adjourn by Noon):

    • Putting it all together.
    • Strategic Planning and Action Plans.
  • Payment and Cancellation Policy

    Cost of the program is $750 per participant.  This includes tuition, all meals and primitive lodging.

    We are accepting a maximum of 54 participants and we expect this program will fill quickly.

    Registration is not complete until full payment is made.  

    Cancellation policy: $50 cancellation fee for cancellations between time of registration and June 1st. No refunds if cancellation is received after June 1st.
